This is the third incarnation of "Soldering-on". Built using Dreamweaver, delving into the "code view" when it wasn't behaving the way I wanted.
I have attempted to strip down the layout which is now styled largely using CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). So the pages display quickly and in a homogenous way across a variety of browsers.

The site is really a number of sites in one.
There are many fine blogging applications which one can sign up for, or download and install on your own server, but I have been fiddling with the original "Blogger" for some time now and like the way it gives access to the raw template code, which means it is quite easy to integrate it into your own site, so I use the aforementioned to run the "newsy" part.
The clothing shops are run using the "Spreadshop" platform, which, although not quite as open (it doesn't allow the inclusion of javascript), still lets you use your own header, footer and fiddle about a bit with the css.
The site search uses Google's fancy search, which lets users search this site or the web, and returns the results within the site layout for a less disturbed experience.
